DETROIT (Reuters) - Honda
Motor Co. Ltd. is recalling more than 150,000 vehicles due to problems with air
bags and interior lights, federal safety regulators said on Wednesday.
The U.S. National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration said potentially incorrect inflation rates in the
driver's side front air bag prompted Honda to recall 130,617 compact CR-V sport
utility vehicles from the 2002-2006 model years.
Separately, it said Honda
was recalling 19,572 Accord sedans because the dimmer control for their
instrument panel lights can fail due to heat buildup.
If the condition occurs
drivers of the Accords affected, from the 2000-2001 model years, may be unable
to see instrument panel gauges, such as the speedometer at night.
